The inside story of Baton Rouge police shooting.
Let me remind you that Gavin long, a makes shift memorial has taken shape at our lady of
the lake regional in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where two injured police officers
are recovering from their injuries following a deadly shooting in which 3
officers were killed on July 17.
As per my information Baton Rouge shooting what was described as a barrage of fire
shattering calm Sunday morning, a Missouri man killed three Baton officers
injuring 3 others. President Obama has condemned the attack which has come just
10 days after a gunman killed 5 police officers in Dallas.
So 12 days after Baton Rouge news police in Baton Rouge fatally shot 37 year old
Alton Sterling while he was pinned to the ground. According to police the
officers who were white thought sterling that was black was reaching for a gun
in July5 shooting.
Now sterling’s funeral is on Friday and I feel that Gavin Eugene long there is no
justification for Sunday’s cowardly and reprehensible violence against law
enforcement. I personally feel that regardless of motive, the death of these three
brave officers underscores the danger that police across the country confront
every single day.
The gunman Gavin long was a black man from Kansas
City who opened fire before 9 am Sunday before being shot dead by police. He
had turned 29 that day. Two
city officers and a sheriff's deputy were
killed: 32-year-old Montréal Jackson, a 10-year-veteran of the Baton
Rouge Police Department.
41-year-old Matthew Gerald,
who had been with the department for less than a year; and
45-year-old East Baton Rouge sheriff's deputy Brad Garafola, Kansascity, 24-year veteran of the department, Nicholas Tullier, a
41-year-old sheriff's deputy, was in critical condition after surgery.
A third deputy, Baton Rouge shooting, Bruce Simmons,
51, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. A 41-year-old city officer
also suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
