paleofood blog-how to control cravings while on the paleo diet?

In order to control carvings while on the paleo diet I am going to offer you some paleofood blog free paleo friendly recipes. They are Chocolate hazelnut protein bars which are basically low curb, gluten free grain free paleo. In my opinion this is the tastiest post workout snack and the best post work out snack.

One of the foods I missed the most when I switched eating real foods was protein bars. Unfortunately, with ingredients like soy protein GMO AND TOXIC, high fructose, corn syrup which causes obesity and promotes disease, artificial sweeteners which damages metabolisms, 99% of protein bars are off limits.

For those of us that still want to get their protien bar fix, I have an excellent paleo alternative for you. There protien bars are grain free, gluten free, low curb, and absolutely delicious. When you make them, you will be blown away that unprocessed, real food count taste this good.

Here the recipe of chocolate hazelnut protien bars which are low curb, grain free, gluten free in nature.
·       I cup white protein powder we use jay robs brand
·       1/3 rd cup hazelnut butter
·       2tbs cocoa powder
·       ½ cup coconut oil
·       1/3 rd cup honey

Now the instructions-
1.    Place all of the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
2.    Heat the honey and coconut oil in a pan on low medium until melted and warm.
3.    Add to the dry ingredients and mix well.
4.    Place a sheet of non sticks baking onto your kitchen table, and put the protien bar mixture in the centre. Put another sheet of baking paper on top and use a rolling pin to roll out the protien bar mixture to a 4x12 inch rectangle.
5.    Cover with plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for 2-3 hours to harden.
6.    When the protien bar has set and is hard to touch, remove from the refrigerator and cut into equal sized portions.
7.    Store the protein bars in the refrigerator.

You don’t have to eat horribly processed protien bars to get your fix; you can make real, unprocessed and extremely delicious versions of these foods easily in your own home. And that isn’t the only food that there’s a paleo alternative for.

In fact, one of the biggest paleo communities on the web came together and created a fantastic cookbook bundle that includes hundreds of these paleo alternative recipes. From delicious desserts like cake and soufflé, to crackers, to traditional recipe like beef skewers, bacon salad and more, the paleohacks paleo cookbook has it all.

Dave and his team at paleo hacks are offering all of these cookbooks at a low, price for a limited time, along with huge discount for a limited time. If you liked this recipe for the chocolate hazelnut protien bars then please share this with any of your friends, family or co-workers who would enjoy it.

Personally I am absolutely terrible in kitchen. Most recipes read like a foreign language to me and cookbooks seem overwhelming complex. However, despite my complete lack of cooking skills, I have managed just fine without food boredom setting in.

That’s again because I a few go to paleo meals that I eat again and again and again. To me, these meals taste just as good every time and I never get tired of them. All of them can be prepared in 10-15 minutes. For those that are heated in the oven, total cooking time is higher.

Now I am offering super healthy paleo meals that are simple, quick and totally delicious. The menu is eggs with vegetables, fried in coconut oil. This is the breakfast I eat, with some minor variations, almost every single day.

It only takes about 5 minutes to prepare and keeps me comfortably full for hours. The ingredients are coconut oil, frozen veggies and mine has broccoli, cauliflower and carrots, eggs and spices. Consider having a piece of fruit as well. I personally like to haven and apple each morning.

Here is the instructions-
·       Put coconut oil on pan, turn on the heat.
·       Put veggies on pan. If frozen, heat until thawed.
·       Put the eggs on.
·       Add spices, either a spice mix of just salt and pepper.
·       Stir fry until ready.
·       You can very well use pastured or omega 3 enriched eggs if you can get your hands on them. Trust me; they are healthier and more nutritious.

Let me remind you that dark chocolate is one of those rare indulgent foods that happen to be incredibly healthy and nutritious. Derived from cocoa beans, it is one of the best sources of antioxidants in the world. One study showed that cocoa was even higher in antioxidants than blueberries and Cecilia berries.

Dark chocolate is very high in fiber and minerals like magnesium, iron copper, manganese and various others. One problem with chocolate in general is that it often contains some sugar. However, if you choose dark chocolate wit 70-85% or higher cocoa content, then the sugar amount will be minimal and the benefits will far outweigh the negatives.

There have actually been numerous studies on the health benefits of dark chocolates and cocoa, especially for heart and brain functions. Dark chocolates and cocoa can lower blood pressure, raise HDL cholesterol and protect LDL particles from oxidation damage.

There are also studies showing that dark chocolate can reduce insulin resistance a major risk factor for metabolic syndrome, type2 diabetes and heart disease. In some studies people who eat the most cocoa and dark chocolate have a 50-57% lower risk of heart disease, which is an insanely high number.

Of course, paleofood blog these types of studies are observational in nature and cannot prove that the chocolate caused the reduction in risk. But given the confirmed effects on important risk factors like blood pressure, insulin resistance and LDL oxidation, I personally find it plausible that dark chocolates and cocoa could in fact reduce heart disease risk and if you want it then please visit here.
