best detox for weight loss -Spartan Fit kids

There is well known legend that new born kids in Sparta were subject to a test of strength and survival straightway. They were reportedly thrown from the top of a cliff and the infant survived then only he or she was allowed to live in the state. Tough times required tough measures to ensure that only the fittest survive.

Nowadays, we still live in turbulent times but adults in our society carry on most of the combat in the trenches and general struggle for survival. Our kids live a relatively secure life where food and entertainment are available in plenty.

Unfortunately we give them the wrong food choices, luxury of a sedentary life and the entertainment media presents them with wrong images of what of kind of physique, individual behavior and lifestyle is acceptable in our society.

Did you know that a single meal at a fast food restaurant is enough to meet you calorie needs for the whole day? Studies have also conclusively proven that having a television set in your children’s room increases their risk of developing obesity.

Our body’s burn even less calories while watching TV than while sleeping. . Childhood and teen obesity have reached epidemic proportions in some parts of the world. In America there are now twice as many overweight children as there were in 1980. Among teens, the 1980 obesity figure has tripled. The US Surgeon General's figures suggest that between 1966 and 1991, the rate of obesity in boys ages 12 to 17 increased from 5% to 13%. Among girls, the percentage rose from 5% to 9%. The National Center for Health Statistics puts the 2004 obesity figure at 17% of adolescents between 12 and 17 years old. The illnesses that can affect teenage obesity are vast and include hypertension, diabetes and, heart disease. And the ill effects do not stop here either.

Teenage obesity affects both the physical and psychological health of young people and puts them at risk of ill health as adults, and the longer an adolescent is obese, the harder it is to fix. The trouble with being overweight is not that it doesn't conform to the unrealistic body images in the media. Being overweight and obese is a serious medical condition linked to many extremely bad and life-threatening conditions.

Young teenagers who are obese are about 25 percent more likely to have weight and health problems as adults; for older obese adolescents, that figure rises to nearly 80 percent. Teenage obesity is mainly affected in the age group between 12-17 this is seen in both boys and girls equally.

Teenagers are the one who eat as they like and drink as they like and do what they like and what they feel comfortable to them. When these get affected with obesity at this stage of their life they in the long run of their life cycle they will face a many more complications in the body, they lose their resistance power and also get affected with a host of diseases linked to obesity.

Causes of Teenage Obesity

Only in few cases it has been found that irregularities in the functioning of endocrine or thyroid glands are the underlying cause for obesity in children and teenagers. Children whose mothers are diabetic may also tend to be overweight. Quite often biochemical tests and taking the patients family history are sufficient to establish whether there is a medical cause for teenage obesity.

If not, then the causes of obesity in teens are similar to the causes of obesity in adults. If your teens are playing video games instead of physically active sports, then they may not be getting enough exercise. The University of Michigan suggests that one third of teens do no strenuous physical activity.

The effects of obesity can be stated in brief as:
  • asthma
  • bone disease (Blount’s)
  • depression
  • diabetes
  • early onset of puberty
  • excess fat in the blood (hyperlipidemia)
  • gallstones
  • gastrointestinal diseases
  • heart disease
  • high blood pressure
  • high cholesterol
  • hip problems (Slipped capital femoral epiphyses)
  • polycystic ovary syndrome
  • pre-diabetes
  • asthma
  • early onset of puberty
  • excess fat in the blood (hyperlipidemia)
  • gallstones
  • sleep apnea
  • low self esteem

As parents we should encourage healthy eating and active habits that your child can take with them into adulthood. It's hard work to convince your teenagers to eat well when you are competing with all the food advertising and peer pressure they are exposed to, but much of their present emotional health and future physical health depends on it!

But, if you are the parent of a teenager you will know only too well that teenage children will resist your efforts to discipline them with healthy eating habits. Also when exercise is forced upon them they will not enjoy it much as they could and therefore they quit the program altogether. You may be justifiably concerned about their future health and susceptibility to a host of diseases but for your children this may be the least of their concerns. They are more likely to be worried about how to deal with bullies at school, teasing, backbiting, rejection by their peers and reaching nowhere with their social life.

The well-known fitness trainer Jeff Anderson also was confronted with the same problem as he tried to enforce healthy eating habits and physical exercise upon his overweight kid. Although well meaning, parents often do not have a clue how to deal with such kids and so he too struggled in the beginning while trying to do so.

But he came with a solution, which addresses all your child’s weight loss worries, how to get their fullest cooperation while introducing lifestyle changes, dealing with bullies, making friends and boosting self-confidence. His eBook comes with added valuable bonuses such as a fun exercise program for your kids, raising their self esteem, finding facts hidden in food labels and starting healthy habits for the whole family. Start here
