Scientific weight loss program -Food Habits for Overcoming Obesity

      Whenever you eat food you should chew it very slowly and masticate it fully in your mouth. This scientific weight loss program will ease the process of digestion and remove any complaint regarding constipation.


You must shun the following types of foods:  Cold drinks, any kind of junk food (fast food) items, red meat, confectionery items, white sugar, white bread, commercial fruit juices, commercially available soy products, vegetable oils for cooking and salad dressing, packaged meals etc.


You should eat:
1.    All fresh fruits and vegetables and their juice (should make up 40-50% of your diet)
2.    Range fed chicken and duck eggs.

4.    Cod liver oil, Shark Liver oil capsules, omega three and six fatty acid capsules for Vita. D, A content and for reducing inflammation within our body.
5.    All kinds on nuts, edible seeds, legumes as they are rich in vitamins, minerals, essential fats.
6.    Raw honey, whole milk, dairy cream, butter, molasses or jiggery, maple syrup.
7.    Whole wheat bread and cereals, oats, barley, brown rice

       If you are going to eat meat such as turkey, duck, chicken at your home then make sure they have been reared naturally. They must be kept in their natural surroundings and fed on their natural foods. In other words, your food intake should be as much fresh and organic as possible. If you are going to eat red meat like beef then eat the leanest cut you can get.
       
 Many Yoga gurus stress on the importance of eating vegetarian food since this kind of food is more alkaline and tends to keep the pH balance of our body to neutral. Most animal fats and proteins are highly acidic and tend to raise the pH balance of the blood to acidic level. Our food should neither be highly acidic or alkaline; it should be of neutral balanced pH levels.
       
 Speaking of acid-base balance of the blood and our body, few modern dietitians and scientific researchers have suggested that animal fats and proteins are good for us in their natural state and only when they have been highly processed they become harmful for us. They have cited the examples of tribal populations around the world, like Masaya of Kenya, Maori of New Zealand and Eskimos of Greenland to be very healthy populace and yet animal fats and proteins constitute a large part of their diet.
    
  Yoga gurus of India explain this phenomenon by saying that the food habits of these tribal populace is primitive and they consume all foods, including vegetable food and dairy products in very natural and fresh form.
      
 We do not need to slaughter animals to eat their flesh and organs because we can get all our nutrition from fruits, vegetables and dairy products. Besides, our digestive system can be very prone to constipation and related ailments by eating flesh of animals and birds. Meat does not contain any dietary fiber and stays partly digested or even sometimes undigested in our colon. Then they become the breeding ground for parasitic microorganisms, plenty of free radicals and toxins arise from the undigested matter and ultimately cause various long- term illnesses. Yoga guru’s advice that one should eat meat, fish and eggs only in moderation and, if possible, give them up for good.
         
To prevent excess calories from being stored in your body you should eat 5-6 smaller meals in a day. This promotes fat burning and a total hormonal balance in your body since there is very little spike in insulin hormone levels and less stress on the pancreas. You also have to drink a gallon of water per day to promote fat burning and greater health benefits. Give up smoking and drinking alcohol totally or cut back on them drastically. Alcohol promotes fat storage in the abdomen and halts muscle growth. Smoking produces a huge number and varied kind of free radicals and toxins in your body which totally wrecks your physical and emotional well being.
