Americans won’t stop working and cannot stop working even on Labor Day.

Do you know that Americans are taking less vacation and more work home? Yes, I am saying this because they are even working this Labor Day.  They are just ignoring the vacation days and this trend has been more than 15 years.

Now what is LaborDay, general Americans when they leave office they can’t unplug? These day 35% are employed online and for them the internet, email and cell phones have increased the amount of time they spend working. Most Americans don’t use the vacation day.

According to my information labor day, 41% of Americans never took a single break or vacation in 2015. Again 55% of Americans didn’t use all of their vacation days in 2015. I can very well understand that more than one third of employers now require employees to work on thanksgiving days.

Again what isLabor Day? Nearly two in five organizations will require most employees to work on Christmas and New Year, and this Labor Day 41% of employers will have their staffs working on Labor Day. So while workers produce more, but pay isn’t increasing at the same rate.

Middle class wages Labor Day are stagnant and wages of young college graduates have been declining since 2000. The workers cannot take paid family leave unlike nearly all countries around the world. New Zealand, France, Spain and Russia are among countries to offer at least 14 weeks of maternity leave paid in full.

US only offers 12 weeks job protected unpaid leave, but most workers don’t qualify for that. Now after reading this blog, what is Labor Day? Are you worried about your future? Let me assure you that you are not alone. About a quarter of Americans feel that corporate budget cuts and corporate restructuring will limit their job growth potential over the next five years.
