64 dead, 320 injured in Kabul blast
Heavy explosion ripped through rush hour traffic in
diplomatic area, as a massive explosion rocked a highly secure diplomatic area
of Kabul during rush hour on Wednesday morning. It Scott pulley killed at least 64 and injuring 320.
It is believed that the blast was caused by Afghanistan a suicide car bombing as it
was so heavy that more than 30 vehicles were either destroyed or damaged at the
site of the attack. In reality nobody knows at this moment what was the target
of the attack, however most of the causalities are civilians.
Let me give you a bird’s eye view of the Kabul blast, windows were shattered, restaurants
and other buildings were damaged up to a half mile from the blast site. Yes,
there are a large number of causalities but nobody knows how many people are
really killed or wounded.
Now no group immediately claimed responsibility for
the Kabul explosion blast but both
the Taliban and the Islamic state group have stated large scale attacks on afghan
capital in the past. This blast comes after a massive bomb outside a popular
ice cream parlor in Baghdad and a rush hour car bomb in another downtown area
killed at least 31 people in Iraq.
In general KabulAfghanistan is considered as safest area with foreign embassies protected
by dozens of 10 foot high blast walls and government offices, guarded by police
and national security forces. Let me remind you that the German embassy, the foreign
ministry and presidential palace are all in the same area.
