smoothie detox ingredients-my smoothie and milkshake tastes much better than yours… who said fruits and veggies were boring again?
One of the central components of any healthy diet is
eating a smoothie detox ingredients
sufficient quantity of greens. Yet 95% of people, who follow a healthy diet, do
not consume enough green leafy vegetables. I will admit it; I often have
trouble or something even lack the desire, to eat my greens.
There are day when I just don’t eat enough of them.
I know greens are good. I know I need to eat more greens but I just don’t do
it. And then I personally discovered a fun way to get more greens into my diet.
Here are my own top 3 ways to get greener into your diet.
1.
Make
green smoothies- green smoothies are great and my favorite way to consume a
large quantity of greens. When I heard about green smoothies I was a little
skeptical about blending fruit and greens and was surprised by the result. Now
here are some of my recipes for optimal health.
Berry roman smoothie-
· 1
cup strawberries
· 2
whole bananas
· ½
bunch romaine
· ½
of 2 cup water
Blend fruit and water. Add romaine lettuce and
enjoy.
Being green smoothie-
· 2
cups fresh spinach
· 1
whole grated cucumber or carrot
· 2
whole bananas
· 1
whole orange
· 3
whole apples, juiced
In a blender, whirl together all ingredients until
thick and smooth.
2make blended salads- once you have got used to
taste the greens in your smoothies, you can graduate to making blended salads.
You can transition gradually by reducing the amount of fruit in your smoothie
and increasing the quantity of greens.
Gazpacho is a type of blended salad. Here is one of
my favorite recipes though I will admit it took me a while to get used to the
taste and texture of blended salads.
Blended salad-
· 2
medium tomatoes, roughly chopped
· 2
ribs of celery
· 4 big leaves lettuce
· 1
big handful spinach
· 1
green onion
· ½
avocado
· ¼
cup parsley
· 2
tbs doles flakes
· 1
tbs nor flakes and this is optional
· Water
if needed
Blend the tomatoes together, and add the rest of the
ingredients progressively. Use water only if you need to. A blended salad
should be quite thick.
3 find one healthy salad dressing- a funny thing
happened once I started consuming more greens in my diet. I started to dislike
some of my favorite healthy dressings. My taste buds lurched at the taste of
olive oil. Here is a recipe to get you started.
· 2
tomatoes or cucumbers
· 2
tbs apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
· 1
cup fresh dill
· 1
small avocado
Blend tomatoes and add other ingredients
progressively. Blend until smoothie. Add other seasoning if desired. Use more
water if necessary. We know that greens are good for use and we should all
strive to get more greens in our diet but don’t force yourself to eat more
greens if you don’t like them.
You will get sick easily. Instead, let your innate
hunger for greens come back, by slowly incorporating more greens in your diet
in the form of green smoothies, blended salads etc. you will find that as your
diet starts to become cleaner, you will naturally crave for more greens and raw
foods.
Smoothies, everyone seems to be drinking them, why
are they so popular? Smoothies can be one of the best fast foods your body can
really enjoy. Here are a few benefits of smoothies-
· By
choosing the right ingredients, a smoothie can be a great way to cleanse and
detoxify your body. This can help your health generally, but can also be good
for conditions like acne.
· Smoothies
give you a real energy boost, not a fake caffeine kick.
· They
are quick and easy to prepare and are very mobile- you can take them with you
in the care and drink them on your way to work or while you run errands
· Fruit
is packed with goodness, but it can be real chore to eat as much of it as we
should. So by drinking our fruit in a smoothie, we can consume plenty, and do
it quickly.
· Kids
really like them. It is a great way to give your kids nutritious fruits and
vegetables that taste really good. Your kids probably won’t even realize how
nutritious they are- they will suck those smoothies down so fast.
Now you know some of
the reasons why smoothies are good for your health, it’s time to get started
preparing your own. Many people find that freezing their fruit before using it
in a smoothie is a great way to get a thicker, cooler smoothie than you get by
adding ice.
If the fruit you plan
to use is large, like watermelon, it may be best to chop it into smaller pieces
before putting it in the freezer. Freeze the fruit on a plate or piece of
aluminum foil, so the pieces don’t stick together, and then transfer them to a
clean container in the freezer for later use.
Remember, too, smoothie
detox ingredients that you can put vegetables in your smoothie mix as well;
there is no law that says it can only be made from fruit. And believe me you
can make smoothies with vegetable ingredients that taste surprisingly good. In
